The topic of Music has come up from the readers at home...
Recently, I have been listening to Ken Silverman's tracks that he has made in his own 'KDM' format.
The only artists that I consistently like are Tally Hall and David Bowie
I think my choice of music embarasses me a bit
It's not that interesting. It might be juvenile.
A lot of the time I find music in memes and various Youtube videos.
I've made some
music in the past. None of it is particularily good.
I use Fruityloops Studios to make music.
In general, when it comes to making art, I've been lacking
in the music department. U_U
How I feel about music
I listen to a lot of music and I would say there is no pattern to
what I like.
I will admit that as a kid I found lots of modern music to simply be noise and I did not appreciate it.
Today it is different and I have a nostalgic feeling towards
tracks that disinterested me in the past.
Even today, it is a bit hard for me to feel interested in random
music people recommend.
I listen to lots of 8 Bit covers of songs I like
I actually just try to find covers of songs I like, in general.
It's familiar but different ^_^
How music affects how I feel
I really like hearing tracks in video games that are mysterious or make me feel pumped
The Medical Theme in System Shock makes me feel very excited and energetic.
This track in Memento is so very cool to me. I really love it!
I really love scary and ominous music.
There is only
one piece of music
that has ever made me feel so weird that I don't listen to it.
It's unfortunate because it's so nostalgic and lovely.
I actually really like the theme, but it gives me an ominous feeling.
I like it a lot, but it's just so EEK! >~<
I have come to realise, not too long ago, that music can heavily affect my mood.
In any case. I like to listen to cheerful and lovely music.
I'm pretty sure that listen to new music that I vibe with makes it easier
to get into a flow state and just spend hours and hours being productive.
Music is powerful!
Music that has touched my soul
Mother
One of my favourite games of all time is Mother.
The cool thing about Mother is that they made a dedicated Orchestral soundtrack for it.
The music in Mother can be
really ethereal.
Cave Story
Pixel created the pixel art, music and programming all on his own. It's very inspiring.
It has been done with such a high standard that it seems almost impossible.
The music in Cave Story is very appealing to me. I particularily like the
Grasstown and
Mimiga Village themes.
List of music that I really like (in no particular order):
>Klabsong - Ken Silverman
>Girl's Last Tour OP and ED (Acoustic Guitar) Cover
>Sharpe Opening Music

Extras
Note: The following is how I feel about these songs and may not necessarily be about the intentions of the artists.
Machine Love
This song makes me feel really lovely.
It's very much a song about yearning love. It's very upbeat but can be wistful at times.
In any case, it's a celebration of the capacity for love. It also makes me think of an
android that believes that they cannot experience true love because they are an android, even though
their feelings and emotions are actually quite real.
I kind of feel the same way about that, but backwards.
It is so sad to me that I can't be a cute cartoon Y_Y
One Piece Theme
There was a time I wasn't feel so well, and so I watched the One Piece Netflix Show
and that got me into One Piece in general. It made me feel very happy!
I think One Piece pulled me out of whatever was happening to be quite honest.
Anyway, the show and this theme is SO adventurous and fun!
It is the representation of adventure and friendship.
The show is very upbeat and maybe that's cliche, but I really vibe with that honestly.
I feel so hyped listening to this theme. It makes me want to become a pirate, yarr! >: OD
Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou
This show did the opposite of what One Piece did. I got over it though.
I like the OP and ED music in this show a lot though!
The OP in particular is really fun, but it also feels bittersweet to me.
It at least feels bittersweet when I listen to it now.
TKMiz also, probably, rewired my brain- gulp .O~O.
Impostor Syndrome
This song is just straight up how I feel, but literally;
Specifically the dog references.
I know the song is supposed to be humorous but I just get it LOL.
Boys N the Hood Cover
This white boy version of Boys N the Hood cover is so addictive.
It's very nostalgic to me. It reminds me of a nice fall season.
I remember playing Neo Scavenger and throwing rocks with a sling.
Undertale
The music that Toby Fox makes gives me goosebumps!
The music in Undertale in particular is very appealing to me.
Seeing Asriel break down hurts my heart. So lovely.
Hopes and Dreams is one of my favourite themes.
I also like the Hotel theme and "New Home" theme.
The New Home theme in particular feels so wistful and nostalgic.
It's like I travelled back in time.
